Designed for us, by us, Lez Talk is a women's empowerment conference bringing together lesbian, transgender, bisexual, pansexual and demisexual women as well as our allies for a day of empowerment, support, love, and learning. The conference is carefully curated to provide an inclusive space for lesbian+ singles and couples to learn and talk about topics from loving yourself to loving others and everything in between while protecting your dignity.
Lez Talk gave me a better understanding and views on loving all people regardless of who they are or who they love
Thank you for the opportunity to attend an event that is not only empowering but energizing!
The honesty and vulnerability of the speakers was powerful!
I knew Lez Talk was going to be awesome, but it exceeded by expectations!
OPEN LETTER FROM THE LEZ TALK FOUNDERS
To our loyal friends and partners,
First, more than anything, we want to simply say, “THANK YOU” for your support over the last two years of the incredible Lez Talk journey.
In light of it being a critical election year for our community and country, Lez Talk has decided to focus its efforts on disrupting the current political climate. We plan on doing this by hosting, as well as, participating in and supporting organizations and events that support LGBTQ+ equality.
This break will also allow us, the organizers, time to focus on two things we have spoken quite a bit about in our conferences - self-care and our families. It is important to us to be a demonstration of what we encourage and teach at our events. Please continue to follow Lez Talk on social media and attend events we support.
We will provide updates throughout the year as needed, with the first being to let you know that Lez Talk will be co-hosting an event with the Lesbian Political Action Committee (LPAC)--an organization that endorses LGBTQ+ female candidates and mobilizes LGBTQ+ women to vote. This important event will be held at 6:30 p.m. on March 9, 2020at The Riveter Dallas. We are excited to host and welcome the Executive and Political Directors of LPAC and special guests: candidate for U.S. Congress, Gina Ortiz Jones and Texas House of Representatives members Rep. Jessica Gonzalez, Rep. Mary Gonzalez, Rep. Celia Israel, Rep. Julie Johnson, and Rep. Erin Zwiener! We do hope that you can attend and/or support LPAC and will share the event information with people in your circle who believe, as we do, that this election year may be the most important of our lives.
Thank you for two years of sold-out conferences and for creating a network of women (Lez Talkers) who now have each other to love on and learn from. We are definitely preparing for and excited about the future of Lez Talk and our potential to affect the outcome of the 2020 election in a way that is positive for the communities we are part of and serve.
Let's disrupt Washington together!
